Mac Specs: Mac book Pro, 2.7 Ghz Intel Core i7, 4gb of Ram 500 SSD, VRAM 384
Hello Guys... I tried recording my Video Mix both on Mac and External Hard drive, I keep getting this error "Not receiving video frames for recording. Try restarting Serato Dj and/or your computer"
Even when I lowered my output Quality, Recording Quality and buffer Size its still the same.

Please help me

Thanks for the reply.
I have done exactly what is on the link you gave above. I was actually unable to record for like 10mins at a stretch but when I went through the link, I was able to record a 50mins Video mix for the first time before the recording stopped and gave this error "Not receiving video frames for video recording..." Since then I have not been able to record a longer video mix.

How big was the file of your mix that was 50mins long?

Hello Micah,
It was pretty large...It was 2.7GB and I think I used Output quality High and Recording Quality 480p...my Buffer Size still on default 256mb I guess..

Hmm, could you try setting the output quality to Medium, and see how recording goes?

Hello Micah,
I think it is ok now. I set the output quality to medium and recording quality to 360p and I did a 30mins mix and didn't get the error although i didn't like d size of d recording quality.
But I prefer the 480p and even if its on medium no problem but I didn't try it. I will try it when I get back from work again and let you know...

Hello everyone. My name is Vdj Wada. Happy holidays. I am using a mac book pro with a ram of 16 gig and the os yosmite....I keep gettting this error message when I try recording a video mix.....not receiving video frame.....my output quality is medium, my recording quality is 480p and my buffer is 1gb.

What am i doing wrong.....? My video files are on an external drive but I copied on the files in needed for the video mix and put on my desktop and still encountered the same problem....HELP PLEASE!!!

Join the club everyone has been having problems with video recording with serato video. It needs a serious update however I recommend syphon recorder, Screenflow or the best option Mix Emergency to record your video mixes. I use screen flow and quite happy with the quality👍
