DDJ-SZ platter modification

Pretty simple mod to get rid of those hideously blinding shiny CD-esque *blingy blingy* platters Pioneer chose for the DDJ-SZ (and SX/SR too). Custom matte black vinyl covers. Works great, plus a bonus of no more fingerprint marks all over them.

+1.... But being that is a "touch" sensitive platter...... do you see or feel any compromise in its ability to pick up your movements? Especially since there have been so many reported issues?

Simply go to your local sign maker and have them output a pair of matte black vinyl 6.5" circles with 3.0625" centered holes. Follow the application instructions for a perfect alignment and finish with zero bumps/bubbles.

Sorry, do not know the actual thickness. Not very thick at all, but that's not much real info. Will try to find out from sign company.

So no issues with your platters with this on them? I placed an order for my DDJ-SZ and would love to do this. I'm a scratch DJ and just don't want to loose any functionality at all. How much was the mod to do this? It looks sick!

Decal vinyl is decal vinyl.
