SDJ 1.6.1 still no proper keyboard shortcuts for auto loop?

Johnny Havana 3:31 AM - 26 March, 2014
When 1.6 was in beta I wrote a feature suggestion that all auto loops should be accessible via keyboard shortcuts. I think the maximum value for keyboard shortcuts is still a 4 bar loop. Why couldn't Serato make the values roll over so that people could choose which values are accessible from the keyboard? I'm moving from Scratch Live to SDJ and I'm still using time coded cd's / vinyls on my gigs. I don't have any external controllers to make auto loops. Keyboard is the only way for me to access them quickly. Please, Serato: can you do something about this?

We're still missing the reloop shortcuts as well.

Not available where I am.

I'm working on Maschine mapping right now but there is no navigation assignments so it's pointless.

no midi controller for sdj is worth 400$.

I know about it, now i have the ddi sz
I didn't check the cue loops but i know that its spouts to work
Mr. Goodkat 8:04 PM - 26 March, 2014
yeah, most are talking about if you use time code not about controllers.
DJ Quartz 8:12 PM - 26 March, 2014
^ Correct

Still an issue in 1.7.3... Either Serato does not care, or they want us to buy controllers. Whatever the reason, I am not happy. Looks like I'll be running scratch live until SDJ offers the same level of usability... Advanced features are great as long as we get to keep features that we have relied on for a decade.

i havent been to map it either. can you map the internal button?

its pretty. even with a sp1 i still use my x1. its nice to have 2, but id rather use 1(generally due to limitation or having to carry an extra stand.

1.7.3 does allow you to map a single auto loop to a controller button.

I just want to fire auto loops using laptop keyboard... It seems like this could be fixed if they went back to a 5 unit array of AL sizes to match the laptop keyboard.
Mr. Goodkat 8:06 PM - 10 February, 2015
yeah i can get auto loops but i cant get my x1 to work like it did with ssl and just use the rotary encoder to hold a loop. i can scroll and load with the rotarty encoder above.
its just not working. intentionally or not.

SP1 is definitely worth the price.
