Rane recommends setting the device panel driver to 8ms, then put the SDJ buffer slider to whatever you want (e.g. 1ms).

But me personally i split the difference since my laptop specs can handle the abuse i use the following settings to give me clean sound without compromising latency.

1.Rane device panel set to 4ms and then sdj set to 1ms. That setting i use for scratching


2.Rane device panel set to 5ms and then sdj set to 1ms. If am scratching and mixing

3.Rane device panel set to 8ms and then sdj set to 1ms. If am just mixing

- I'm getting doubtful sound quality at 1ms in sdj / 4ms on the system's prefs.
- 2ms in sdj sounds pretty good and at 4ms system prefs.

Will read through the other thread tho. And hope Serato make this a little more transparent in the next release.
