NS7II freeze after a short time.

On initial load of serato after a few moments (not even a whole tune) NS7II freezes. The ns7II is unresponsive. I have close serato and ns7II and open the software again. If I can get through the first song it is fine for the whole night. On occasion I have had to re start the pc to get serato/NS7II to settle down.

I always wait for the pc to be in an idle state before starting software. I have wifi turned off / anti virus off.

I have downloaded the latest drivers for my NS7II.

Have you tried updating to the latest version of Serato DJ: www.serato.com
What are your computers full system spec's?
How much music do you have in Serato DJ?
How are you storing that music, internally or external?

I thought that the best version of serato DJ for the NS7II was the 1.3? That's what your site recommends.?
I am not at my DJ pc at the moment so can not give full spec.
I have around 19k of tunes on an external HD.

I have had this issue again on NYE with the NS7II freezing three time within the night. Which made it quite a difficult gig. I have a mixtrack pro with me so i had to use that to complete the night... :(

my pc specs are as follows:
intel i5 running at 2.53
windows 7 with service pack 1
4gb ram
All music on external HD.
Only serato and mix in key on the pc.
I am still running serato 1.3

Do you need me to send over error log? If so how do i go about it / find them on my pc?

hoping to resolve this as i have plenty more gigs and i would like to be using the NS7II..

Did you try updating to the latest version of Serato DJ 1.5.2?
If it freezes it's not possible to obtain a log of what the issue maybe.

I updated to Serato 1,5,2 and got a freeze within the first mix. Did not help...

My pc is optimized to the Serato recommendations.

If you could please try disconnecting your external hard drive from the laptop and just using a few tracks on the desktop maybe and then using them in the program. Does it still freeze?

I had it freeze with internal tunes and 1.5.2 so i took the usb lead out of the NS7II (serato went into off line mode) then plugged in my Numark Mixtrack pro 2 and serato never missed a beat! The mix was still in synch....

What is your USB Buffer Latency set to with Serato DJ > Setup > Audio?

I'd also try using your NS7 MKII on another computer and see if you have any issues with it freezing over there.
Also try reinstalling the latest drivers again, just in case.
