Hi Guys,
I've recently upgraded to version 1.5 and I'm getting a crackling sound coming through my speakers.
I've never had it before with the previous versions and still using the same settings as before. Latency @ 1ms.
Can anyone please help me?
Cheers,
Pany

Hi Lucas,
I have tried what you had suggested; but, still the same problem.
Can I revert back to the previous version and try if that fixes the problem? If so, please provide a link to the download.
Cheers,
Pany.

Hi Pany,
Sorry to hear that hasnt resolved, here is a link to Serato DJ 1.3: serato.com
Before installing, read this as it explains how to have multiple versions of Serato on your computer: serato.com
Let me know if you get the same problem with the previous version.
Cheers

Pany - which decks are you using? I had issues with a VCI400 that no-one (neither Serato nor Vestax) could ever get to the bottom of, which did vary by software version.

Hey,
Sorry about the late reply, Lucas S has moved on from the Support team so I will continue helping you out.
I noticed this thread was still open, are you still experiencing issues?
Have you tried running 1.5.1, the latest version of Serato DJ from here: serato.com ?
Cheers, Sam

Hey DJKentaa,
Each new program has new features and has various connection improvements. This could be the cause of the issues. Did you find any improvements after updating to version 1.5.1 that I linked above? Also have you tried different USB ports on your machine?
Let me know,
Sam

Can be their electricity that is wrong (that there is to much power that the place can handle) amps/lamps/controll boards are at he same place.
Will explore more about the software/hardware and their setup.

That is really interesting.. there could be some kind of grounding issues?
If you can try running an extension cable to an unused plug and only connect your DDJ-SX and laptop to this. Try and find a plug separate to the rest of the club system.

HI Guys,
I had updated to 1.5.1 and I'm still experiencing poor sound quality.
After having the same problems with 1.5 I had reverted back to 1.3 and had no sound problems.
I would love to start using 1.5.1but find it unstable and unreliable.
Can anyone help me further?
Cheers,
Pany

Hey Pany,
Just confirming,
Have you been through ALL the steps in this guide: serato.com ? Did you notice any change at all?
If you open Serato DJ > Setup > Audio > USB buffer size can you increase this value by moving it all the way to the right?
Let me know if it helps,
Sam

Sam why would the buffer size be the problem in new version when 1.3 worked just fine?
so 1.5.1 does take more system prefs or? just a curious question... will check more about the power tomorrow as i promised :)
regards.

Each version has more features so I wonder if this is slightly affecting your system. It could be the case, but generally adjusting the buffer size is a good investigative step.
Let me know how you go with your test.
