Part #'s for VCI-300 Power Adapter

I've searched this forum and didn't see any specific info on the Power Adapter for the VCI-300 so here it is.

Radio Shack 9V 800mA Part# 273-1768
Radio Shack Adaptaplug "M"

This one is $10 cheaper than the 1000mA one. The adaptaplug comes free. Now go and buy a gallon of gas with the money you saved! :) I apologize if this is a repost.

I would rather get a universal one and save more money in the long run. Also I think the 1000ma would be a better choice for the same reasons.

just because its "1000mA", it doesn't make it "better". how will it save you money in the long run? (29.99 vs 19.99) you can use the 800mA one for the VCI-300 and the
SL-1. what are you using yours for?

A universal will give you more uses than just the two you mentioned - many more.

If you only plan to use it for the two purposes you listed above then that is perfect for you - for me a universal is better.

well that's cool. why don't you share the info you got on your adapter to help everybody else out? :)

Sure, no problem.

Here is an example and only $18.99 and 1000mA.

I just did a quick search and found it. I have one like this that came with dozens of connectors and you just flip them for polarity once your input size is found.

With connectors it may be a little more but you get from 3 - 12V and 1000mA for any other electronic piece you have and may acquire in the future - that is why I said in the long run.

In everyday life we loose a/c adapters or they go bad - now you don't have to go buy another when you need it ;-)
