Can I search for tracks from streaming services in Serato DJ Pro?
Yes, you can search tracks from the streaming service you are logged into. Streamed tracks will have an icon displayed next to them in your search results.
Why aren’t all the tracks in my SoundCloud playlist showing in my Serato DJ Pro library?
Some tracks may have restrictions on use by third-party applications, this is set by the content owner at the upload stage. These tracks will not show up in your Serato DJ Pro library.
What is the difference between iTunes and Apple Music libraries in Serato DJ?
The iTunes library in Serato DJ will display your locally stored files from Apple’s Music app on macOS, and iTunes on Windows. The Apple Music library in Serato DJ will display streamed tracks from the Apple Music streaming service.
Do I need to analyze tracks from streaming services like I normally do with my tracks?
If you are looking for track information such as Key, BPM and waveform overview, you will need to analyze your streamed tracks. Please see our support article for more information.
Can I create and edit playlists from Serato DJ Pro?
Yes! There are three ways you can manage your streaming playlists
Option 1: You can create and edit playlists in Serato DJ Pro by dragging and dropping tracks from your search results, or other playlists in your streaming account.
Option 2: For all streaming platforms, you can create and edit playlists from your web browser when you are logged in.
Option 3: If you are using SoundCloud or TIDAL, you can use their mobile or desktop apps. You can also do this with Apple Music if you have ’Sync Library’ enabled.
Can I record my sets in Serato DJ Pro with the tracks I’m streaming?
You can’t record your sets while DJing with streaming tracks.
Can I save my tracks from streaming services and use them offline?
With a Beatsource Pro+ or Beatport Professional plan, you can save up to 1,000 tracks on your device and play without an internet connection.
What kind of audio quality settings can I use for streaming tracks?
Apple Music tracks are streamed at 256kbps using AAC format in Serato DJ software.
Beatsource and Beatport Streaming tracks are available to stream at different qualities depending on your subscription. Beatsource and Beatport Advanced users have access to 128kbps AAC. Beatsource Pro+ and Beatport Professional users have access to 256kbps AAC. SoundCloud tracks are available in a high-quality AAC format.

Will my track metadata (Cue Points, Loops, Flips, etc) work once I save them on tracks from streaming services?
Yes, once you set cue points, loops and flips on a track from a streaming service, all information will be saved to your machine. The next time you load the file, you’ll be able to view your saved information.
Can I stream music from Spotify in Serato DJ Pro?
You can’t stream music from Spotify in Serato, but you can stream from our other partners, including Apple Music, TIDAL, SoundCloud, Beatport and Beatsource.
