"This is pretty much a mix of African percussion music and Techno. After several trips to Africa I became fascinated with how these two practices have so much in common and pretty much serve the same purpose. I have always been a club DJ but through DJing in our Fortuna club nights as well as our NTS monthly radio show I came to love this moment where technology meets heritage, where sounds from Detroit and London meet those of Ghana and Mali. A hypnotic Acid bassline over a 909 drum machine could have easily be a hunting ritual or a wedding song in the mother continent. So this is what I'm into at the moment both as a producer and DJ. Some vinyl some freshly baked digital. Hope you dig."
