"Every time I approach a mix I want to make sure I have the hottest tracks known to man- harassing friends for exclusives, digging on the internet, occasional ripping, as well as making edits on my computer. I find these practices helpful but I've come to realize it can also be a bit counter-productive. As you rack up all those hot tracks you can almost forget all the good stuff you've collected in the past. Point is, if you want to stay the best as well as stay fresh, take time but also reflect on all that good music you have- learn new techniques, organize, sort, and execute. Real shit fam."
