The MoMA PS1 Warm Up summer party series is in full swing and is yet again going to be one of the best locations to catch amazing electronic music (and rap - J. Cole & Mr. MFN eXquire feature later in the year) this summer in New York City.
As with every year, MoMA and MoMA PS1 collaborate to run the Young Architects Program where the winner of the New York competition sets up their installation in the court yard of the Warm Up party. This year the winning project was an urban landscape installation titled 'Party Wall' by CODA which allows partygoers to cool off in the mist hoses, dip their feet in the paddling pools, chill out on the benches, and get some shade.
This past Saturday saw a killer line up with performances from James K, Gobby, Pete Swanson, Ryan Hemsworth, XXYYXX and MK. The party yet again packed out and despite a couple early light rain showers the crowd never seemed to notice as the dance floor heaved all day long.
With 8 more parties to go this summer make sure you head along if you're in the NYC area - they are well worth it! And with acts like Kode9, Ben UFO, Jackmaster, Julio Bashmore, J. Cole, Caribou (DJ set) and Jon Hopkins among others still to play you'd be crazy not to...
