Please include the processor type, they will want that as well.
Ie. AMD Sempron, Intel, Intel p4, i5, i7, etc.
You can create a system profile in your user profile and that will head your posts in the future so they already know.

Also, once you've created a system profile (saves time in the future...) I noticed you have a large external hard disk. Currently Serato DJ is having trouble with large librarys and externals. It is being discussed in the Pioneer specific controller section of the forum here:
serato.com
So I would try and digest that thread and perhaps see if the unit will handshake with the external unplugged. Also follow up on that post with the other users so the problem is constantly addressed until it's fixed :)
What's odd, is I could SWEAR that forum HAD 'DDJ-SX' in the title, but since they added the weGO n such all the SX threads ended up here in 'Serato DJ General Discussion' which is where we're standing right now. =\

I have the same problem. My Dell Inspiron has an Intel i5-3210M processor, 6G Ram, 750G HD with 371G free and Windows 8 OS. The music is on the HD, and serato dj keeps crashing whenever its opened. It also happens on my Sony Vaio with similar specs and my wife's Dell with Windows 7. I need some help. I want to run my Numark NS6 on Serato DJ but I have to stick with Itch 2.2.0 which is the last Serato program that worked well for me.

Hey there,
Ok this was this resolution in the end
I had a test laptop built
i3 processor
4 gig memory
Internal hd 500gb
External hd 1TB
however after extensive and exhausting trials
We discovered
If your like me that has been running scratch live previous,
Then all back ups are on HD
What we have done is copied a new file with the latest backup and music library
Then remove all backups and any paths relating to the old serato
So the pc only has one directory path,
When you the open up serato, it will handshake and all load up
BE PATIENT AS IT TAKES ITS TIME,
DO NOT LEFT OR RIGHT CLICK ON MOUSE, AS THIS WILL CAUSE A DELAY
DO ANALYZE ALL OF YOUR MUSIC LIBRARY REGULARLY
RE CHECK YOUR ID TAGS
DO REGUALAR DEFRAGS ON YOUR HD
CORRUPT FILES WILL SLOW DOWN/freeze and sometimes CRASH YOUR SYSTEM
Now that I have gone through this painstaking exercise
Not only does it load up
But effects work brill
Sp6 is bang on the money
Usage rates are :- average 25% CPU continuous
2.4gig ram continuous
If you are multiple DJ's on one system
EVERY HD MUST BE REGULARLY ANALYZED
NO CORRUPT FILES
AS IT WILL CRASH THE SYSTEM
AND WILL NOT OR WILL HAVE GREAT DIFFICULTY IN REBOOTING
BEST SOLUTION
DISCONNECT ALL EXTERNAL HD's
REBOOT
OPEN SERATO DJ,
THEN PLUG IN HD' 1 by 1
-----------------------------------------------
Serato Dj, is very demanding, but it must have a clean new install to work, and
Trust me when it works IT REALLY DOES WORK !!!!
Good luck,
Any more advice or help please do not hesitate to ask
And THANKYOU for all your help
Lyndon B

Could you better explain what is needed to remove exactly files for SDJ to run properly?
I have an i3 Toshiba with 8GB ram 64 bit Win 7 1Tb internal HD with 418gb free. Any help to be able to use SDJ again as I did before updating to SDj version 1.2.1 will be helpful.
