Hey DJ-Elvis,
USB 3.0 ports are not supported for that device. Stick with the USB 2.0 ports.

I have a similar issue. It appears that my NS7 does not support 3.0usb ports, but this is just pure speculation since the NS7 works just fine with 2.0 ports.
If a Serato or Numark rep is available to shed some light on this topic and answer the following:
1) Is the NS7 built to work with 3.0 USB ports?
2) If 3.0 is not supported, is there knowledge of a work around available (e.g. 2.0 USB hubs, etc) that will allow the NS7 to work with a laptop that ONLY has 3.0 USB ports (as is the case with most new laptops only coming with 3.0 ports).
Thanks

Hey Guys,
I believe the Numark NS7 and Numark V7 were build pre USB 3.0. There they were not build to work with USB 3.0 specifically. I believe that the are USB 2.0 devices. These are the USB ports built into the Numark controllers. The chipset built into the computers USB 3.0 ports may not support USB 2.0 devices, which would cause this kind of distortion.
What are you computer spec's and model number?
As a workaround i'd try different ports on your computer or use the USB 2.0 ports which seem to be working fine for you.
You could also try using a powered USB hub as a link between the ports if you don't have any USB 2.0 ports in your computer.
Let us knowhow you go.
