i wonder, why the is one unmapped param knob on VCI400.

Why not map to an alternative pitch fader as an endless knob like on xone DX or twitch?
turn = pitch +/-
press + turn = toggle pitchrange
shift + press = quick reset BPM

As a DJ who never used Vinyl, i dont understand the stringent necessity for a real fader.

If you have a feature request that you think will benefit SERATO DJ users I advise you start a "feature request" thread. If enough people support your idea it may be something we look at implementing further down the track.

We are always working on improving our software and how it interacts with supported hardware controllers. This never stops and as updates come out things will only get better.
