I use mixed in key 4 to detect my keys. It'll show up on the comment section but after I close up my serato the key (only some) would disappear from the comment section. Every time I go on to serato I have to Rescan the ID3 tags just to find the key for the songs. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

What file format are the files that it's disappearing on? Do they happen to be .mp4's?
I has this with a couple of tracks I purchased from iTunes once. From memory, the newer version of MIK doesn't appear to have this issue.

I've had this happen when using iTunes playlists instead of Serato crates. This is another reason why I don't use iTunes to manage my crates.

Exact opposite for me. I'll use MIK to put the key in comment field. Then in Itunes I select all the tunes that I have run through MIK - do a "Get Info" and OK - and it makes the Key Info appear (almost like rescanning tags in Serato)
They usually stick after running thru iTunes.

That's in iTunes. I'm talking about what gets displayed in Serato. Does that info show up in Serato? If so, does it show up after you close and reopen Serato?

Sometimes it doesn't appear in Serato after running MIK.
My usual steps are:
1. Import into iTunes, correct tags & genre if a hit or potential hit.
2. Run hits and/or potential hits thru MIK
3. Close iTunes and open Serato,
4. Grab newly added stuff and analyze in Serato
5. Check BPMs and correct half/doubles (Key may not show sometimes)
6. Close Serato and open iTunes - select new - Get info - Ok
I usually run thru all that each time I update library, so one of those steps usually takes care of it.
I also usually keep 98% of my video out of iTunes, I tried that Key App for video - it seemed to work but I haven't used it in a minute.

yea, if you read your itunes library, you need to make sure the info appears in itunes in order for it to show up in serato.
My basic process is scan in MIK, scan in Serato (which will cause the MIK info to show up), and then go back to itunes and select the tracks and Get Info, then reload serato and all the info will appear.
Sometimes, I have to Get Info and change tags to make the metadata appear so I choose a field I never use, add a space, and hit OK.
