Hi,

it happens quite often that while working on Serato PnT pro
on my Pro tools M Powered (7.1.1) the session suddenly crash down and closes.
Any one knows if this is a PnT Issue or a Pro Toolls Issue?
Is any one experiencing this problem?

Tanx in advance

Hi,

Do you get a crash log? you might find it in mack HD/Users/your name/Library/Logs/crash reporter/M powered. the crash log will usualy say which thread crashed and will often list in this thread what the cause is.

Are you recording your m powered audio to a dedicated audio drive or to the session drive. and is there plenty of free space on the hard drive? you need plenty of free space on the hard drive where your audio is recorded to.

I use a really fast external disk with minimum 200 GB free space. Usually I save both session and audio files on the same external disk never on the Macintosh HD.
On my Internal Hardisk I v always arnd 25GB free.
Usually the crash happen while I m changing the seting in the pluginn not while processing.

Tanx for your help

Hi,

Do you get similar behavior with any other plug-in? For example Digidesign's free time-stretching plug-ins?
Looking at the crash log, it looks like it's crashing when trying to close the plug-in. But as you describe, you're only fiddling with the settings. Is there anything more in the log for Thread 0 ?

Hi,

This is the first time i see this issue.
Does it crash when you close the plugin? Do any plug-ins you have suddenly shut down on you?

shiama 8:01 AM - 31 July, 2008
1) actually it crashes immediatly after I enter the new values before procesing, as soon as I "enter" the new valuse P&T crashes. This doesn't happen always though, only some times, specially wen I set the plug in on "8x" and wen the file that should be processed is quite big.

2) no other plugin acts like that

cheers + tanx
