Serato Software Feature Suggestions

What features would you like to see in Serato software?

The option to turn off needle search.

When quick mixing & using the FX on the SX, i have often touched the needle search & move the placement of the song by mistake. I would love to have the option to turn this off.

Thanks!!

that or a few different options like, you need to press shift for it to work.

or you have to press and hold the strip for a full second before it works

just something to negate accidental momentary grazings that have the potential of ruining a mix.

I like Shift + needle search option. That is how VDJ works on the SX.

But while we are waiting this to be implemented, you should take a look at my AWESOME and extremely hightech workaround : www.facebook.com

Can it be done like the pioneer cdj's where the strip is dead while a track is playing. Touch and hold the jog wheel or pause during play then the strip is active.

I am not a fan of that needle search at all. I screwed up a couple of mixes because of that thing.

Needle Search is kinda useless to me. +1 to have a way to turn it off.

It's a good feature, but on cdjs it's auto disabled when a track is playing. Needs to be the same here.

It would be better to turn it off while is playing AND that channel volume fader is up.

Some may call us clumsy, but when you're rocking out and need to pitch-bend to perfect the beat-match, sometimes I forget to be careful which area I touch on the pitch-bend wheel -

If you use the top of the Jog-wheel, needle search is way too close to the wheel. If you use the right side, you are prone to hitting the tempo fader.

I had to take the cardboard route on this one- nothing like shitty compressed paper taped on top of my immaculately cared for Pioneer gear....kills me inside, but I've never dealt with this playing on Technics, CDJ 400's, and CDJ 800's.

Definitely recommend to require the user to hold down "SHIFT" to activate needle search and/or only be able to use it when the track isn't playing.

Or, maybe Serato and Pioneer can issue a classy looking plastic piece for free to everyone who bought a SSX so the users don't have to put cardboard on the top and have other people constantly asking "WTF is that?".
