Loss of track Metadata in serato DJ when switching between Serato DJ and Traktor

Hi there,
I'm using:
- SSL & SL3 with my turntables
- Traktor 2.6.0 for continuous play when having some friends coming over for diner or being invited somewhere.

Now I'm looking at moving to a controller, being the new ddj-sx of course.
But for some occasions I would like to continue using Traktor (mainly for use without a controller in continuous play)

Before buying the new ddj-sx i'm playing around setting beat grids etc in Serato dj.

I've got an issue when switching between Traktor and Serato DJ.

After having analysed a song in serato dj, setting the beat grid and some hot cues I can switch between traktor and Serato dj as long as I don't change anything to the song in Traktor.
Meaning I can play and see my hot cues in Serato DJ, switch to Traktor and use my hot cues set in Traktor and back to Serato DJ.
If I add a hot cue in Traktor and switch back to Serato DJ things go wrong.
I can see the hot cues but I don't see the wave form anymore.
If I close Serato DJ, reopen it and reload the song it will be as a new song being analysed.
All hot cues and other information will be lost in Serato DJ. In Traktor all settings remain.

I tested this on my windows 7 machine and my mac with traktor 2.6 and Serato DJ 1.1.1 and on both the same result.

Are any others having this issue? Is this normal behaviour or a bug?

Txs

Some people on the forum say they have no problems using the same library for both, but I found the same issues as you; although for me it was only with AAC files.

I ended up duplicating my library to an external drive, and using that for Traktor.

If continuous play is the main concern for you, I'd just hold off buying the SX until Serato put it back into the software (they've indicated they will).

Indeed it seems only linked to AAC files.

For some cases I would still like to continue to play with Traktor (with a very small controller).

Having two libraries is indeed the easiest but cumbersome.
I would have preferred having it in one location and creating my playlists in iTunes.

But I guess having two libraries will be the best option.

Txs for your response.
