What are your computer specs

It would be handy to know your computer specs for sure: serato.com

So the software works ok as the offline player (hardware disconnected) can you play files and hear the audio etc? Or are you unable to complete the installation to make it that far?

Have you tried disconnecting all USB devices and running the installer?

It's a Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
Intel Core i3-2330M CPU @ 2.20 GHz.
4GB RAM.
500GB hard drive.
And no USB devices used.
I am unable to complete the installation. Yes, I had nothing connected in the USB ports while I tried installing it.

Are you able to take a screenshot of the message you get when it says "setup fail." ?

Have you used Serato software previously with his computer? Do you have other Serato software installed?

It is giving you any kind of crash message?

Can you please confirm the size of the package you have downloaded from our website?

Have you tried re-downloading it?

Yes I have, I am currently using Serato DJ Intro.
I haven't received any kind of crash message.
The size of the package I have downloaded is 26,4 MB.
Yes I have. I have even downloaded the file again from the website, but it still doesn't work.

When you get that message, would be able to click on "log file" then send me the log file that it shows you?

Could you try download Serato DJ 1.0.0 to see if it will work? serato.com

The main error I see (the one that displays in your screenshot) seems to be 0x800700e8.

Perhaps you could try going through and see if any of the steps will resolved this.

Ok, so are you able to download and install any programs? What about something like Mozilla Firefox, just as a test? www.mozilla.org

Also, please try installing Serato ITCH 2.2.2 as a test: serato.com and see if that installs.

They both install perfectly with no problems at all.

What about perhaps if you try creating a new user account on your computer to test with and install Serato DJ on that account?

The same problem happens and it won't download.

So you can't download the file properly from the website now?

What internet browser are you using?

Are you able to download and install any other programs?

I can download the file perfectly, it's the programme that doesn't download.
I have used Internet Explorer and Google Chrome.
Yes, it can download any other programmes including Serato ones perfectly.

I feel now that the problem downloading this programme has still not been solved. It has been now two months since he have paid for the programme, I would now like a refund of payment in full, as I think I have waited long enough for a solution. Will you please inform me on what accion you will take.

I am sorry that we haven't been able to resolve this problem yet, its a pretty unusual one that I have not yet seen before!

I think its worth trying a few other things before giving up :D I sent you a PM also by the way.

1. Can you upload the Serato DJ installer.exe you have on your computer that keeps having this problem? I would like to test it myself.

2. Are you able to try downloading Serato DJ via another network, for example, your friends house? Then try installing on your computer?

3. Please try downloading the 1.1.1 installer again, we have made some changes which might affect you. (hopefully!) serato.com

I have been speaking with some developers for other things to try.

Please try updating installshield: consumerdocs.installshield.com
