I currently use the novation dicer for video controls. Such as autofade. But it's limited since it does have rotary controls... So I can't actual use it to scroll and change fx or transitions.

Was think about getting the Akai Pro LPD8 controller since it has pads and rotary controls.

The Kontrol X1 would probably work well too.

i hope serato will implement mapping like traktor.

i think it wont happen but it would be to cool if different eqs and fx could trigger and select video effects.

i found a way to map the filter knobs to the video effects but its quite cumbersome and you cant double map.

but if they would implement mapping like traktor and let us remap the sx or at lest add video midi to the existing mapping.

would be cooler if video would just mix with audio that way and you could spend more time on a cool audio mix which will be visual supported and effected as you roll.

Technically, linked audio/video is a missing SDJ feature. The audio DJ FX in Scratch Live have had associated video FX for quite a while--going back to Video SL, whenever it was last updated.

If SDJ is supposed to have all of Itch & SL's features, it should have been there.

i used midi pipe to make the sx available in seratos midi list.

then just midi learn.

Yes am using dicer with the ddjsx. I have it placed nicely between the fx controls and the channel 1 track upload button. It over hangs a little off the top of the ddj, but I'm still able to place the case top on; since there is a few inches of room in the back. I was surprised how well the sticky putty it came with holds in place... Even though the whole dicer is not stuck to the surface, it still feels very firm and stable. I like it because it all feels like 1 piece of gear....
