still not installing

Ummm...from the screen shot it looks like you have the MACOSX file and NOT the Windows one. just a shot in the dark.

oh, i was just checking the mac folder in the zip file to see if there was something else in there and i tried running the mac one for testing purposes and it says its the wrong OS. the windows one just gets stuck saying "initializing"

how about unziping it first then installing it

for a moment i started thinking that it maybe because of windows 8, but serato itch and serato dj intro both installed with no issues.

Right click the set up file and click trouble shoot compatibility mode!! It should run the set up from there onwards

yeah I tried that as well.I had it run in xp mode service pack 3, same issue.
And in Windows 7 mode

no I have not.next time I try, ill screenshot the log file so we can see where its failing

ok you guys after doing some research and plenty of trial and error, I got this issue resolved. Apparently, during the process of optimizing my laptop for windows 8, something went wrong with the registry or the windows installer. I found this out because I tried to uninstall another program and it just hanged on "preparing to remove". After I found this out, I tried to unregister the installer and re register the installer via cmd prompt, did nothing for me. tried using the windows installer clean up(couldn't install anything) so this didn't work.

So I decided to give up and refresh windows 8. this set everything back to default but wiped all my win7 software. Not a big deal to me. all of my setup files are in tact so I can easily re install.
Oh&Serato dj installed perfectly fine. thanks for the help guys

I have and old windows 7 pro version. Had the same issue. Solved it by reebooting the laptop.
