I am unclear how to preview a track while another track is playing. Ideally I would like to be able to click track by track in my crates and hear a snippet of each song. I do world music and much of it is in a variety of languages (many of which I don't know) so being able to quickly hear the first 5 seconds of each song it essential. So far the only way I see to preview a track is to load it onto the deck.
Thanks for your help

Thanks for your reply. No, I'm talking about when I am playing live. For example, if a track is playing through the club's system on deck A. And I have a crate labeled "Balkan Beats" with 1000 songs in it. I would like to scroll very quickly, song by song, hearing just the very beginning of each song as a preview. The reason to do this is that many of the sings are in another language and it is hard for me to remember which song is which without hearing it, especially with another track pkaying live. As I am just learning Itch and the Numark, the only way I see it possible to preview a song would be to load each song one at a time into Deck B and play it.
Secondly, is there a way to put ten or so songs on reserve, knowing that I want to play them at some point in the night but it just depends on the crowd?
Thanks again for your help.

Unfortunately, you'll have to load each track in order to hear it. You should consider creating sub-crates within the Balkan Beats and organize it accordingly.
As for "songs on reserve", you could either put the songs in "Prepare" (ctrl P) or just create a new crate and dump those songs in there.

Ok, thanks. I figured that a subcrate might be the route for reserve songs.

Hi l'huître,
As for "songs on reserve", you could either put the songs in "Prepare" (ctrl P) or just create a new crate and dump those songs in there.
This is a great suggestion and the best way to get the results you are looking for.
You can also review shows where you had played a series of songs in the history tab and find the songs that went together best and create crates from there too
