I am using a Korg Kaossilator Pro as a midi controller for Serato. Essentially, using it as a turntable. I would like to use the x-y touchpad, but have no idea how to map it, or what features I can map it to. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

Hey Cub,

You can map the buttons and the knobs/dials on the Korg Kaossilator Pro to the DJ-FX or the SP-6 sample player, but unfortunately, you cannot map the X-Y touchpad to the Scratch Live virtual decks to replicate a turntable.

Below I have attached a MIDI guide article, that will allow you to gage a better understanding of the MIDI feature in the Scratch Live software:

Let me know how you go with this.

Cheers.

Thanks Mak!
I appreciate the time and clickable knowledge. Now, being that I can't use the touch screen to emulate a turntable, is there any effect or process I CAN use it for? Thanks!

Hey Cub,

I have done some testing :) Along with the other buttons on the Kaossilator, you can map the X and Y axis to any two DJ-FX knobs/dials you choose. Please note, when mapping both axis's you must be very precise, inline and straight. I would suggest mapping each axis closest to edge of the touch pad, as the edge of the touch pad would guide your hand to ensure an accurate straight axis.

Let me know how you go with this.

Cheers
