Does anyone know if this HDMI Splitter will work on a Macbook?

Check it.

Just ordered it. Wondering if anyone else have tried using this one or if you have any recommendations to split multiple tv's for the mobile setup I would appreciate it very much.

Thanks.

I don't see why not.

I've seen quite a few of those cheap HDMI splitters fail, especially when driving multiple displays/projectors that are on different power circuits.

My suspicion is that ground currents from the different power circuits zaps the chips inside or something. Seen it happen multiple times in multiple places.

With displays all fed from the same power circuit (or with higher-end HDMI distribution amps that presumably have better protection from such issues), failures like that seem less of an issue.

On what kind of laptop? Most don't have the bandwidth to support video over USB unless you're using one of those USB video adapters, which aren't the most stable outside of a desktop environment. It better be a FAST and stable USB3 chipset.

You many not want to hear it but you're gonna have to upgrade to at least a 2011 15" with a dedicated graphics card if you want to run video efficiently as with that machine you will not be able to run anything over SD without issues ... But for your original question you will want to run Mini Display out to either HDMI or VGA depending out what you're outputting to
