As stupid as this sounds, it's actually not bad advice at all for removing excess dirt from exceptionally dirty records. It's kinda overkill for your average dirty 12".

There is a how to here for those who feel up to it.

I would strongly suggest buying a couple of cheap charity records to try out the glue first.

As well as this adobe audition has a feature where when you are archiving your vinyl you can easily remove static clicks & pops. (I would suggest you back up the original file, & edit a copy).

You know what? Just give me the dag gum records and I will send you the mp3 versions since you can't apperciate good snap crackle pop. You kids with your 320kb aiff lifestyles are just too much. I will be standing outside my mailbox tomorrow. I better have them or I'm going to find your girlfriend and make sweet love to her with Boys II Men playing in the background.

I've always cleaned records with rubbing alcohol. Try it. I don't know if it is as potent as the things you have already used. But that's besides the point. Are these hip hop records?

Basically what I'm saying is if you have tried all that we have said such as rubbing alcohol, wood glue, distilled water, and the stuff you have, then it's time to give them up because the records may be ruined. It's better to donate the records than trash them. I don't understand how you did not get all I have just explained out of give them to me and I will pay you in gum. All the other disc jokeys knew what I meant. Why did you have a problem with my sentence?
