hello, i understand that you can set many beat warp markers in serato when a track changes tempo. however, it doesn't seem to work as described to me in the manual. I don't really know if i'm doing this correctly but this is exactly what i did:
1. i have a track whose tempo changes from 128 to 110.
2. i set the grid of the beginning of the song to 128.
3. then i click grid edit and press x on the beat that has the change in tempo.
4. i'm not sure what exactly i should do next.. so i play the song and use the tap button to get the new bpm.
then what happens next is that the entire track's grid changes becomes really off. the downbeat marker is where the change in tempo starts but the very beginning of the track that has 128 is completely off because the grid there is no longer 128 bpm. and then when i try to fix it i see the bpm is something crazy like 125.54 or 60.24 bpm or something.
please help!

Hey JVB,
A few users have issues with this, and admittedly is a bit tricky.
I had found a video walking through this process from another forum user of ours, Dj Lashes which may be of help to you > youtu.be
Let me know if that helps at all :)

thank you. that has solved my problem in knowing what to do next after i set the beat warp marker. however, when i set the second one and use alt+left mouse button to adjust to the 110 bpm tempo, the 128 bpm grid still gets messed up and becomes 125.24. perhaps it's just a small bug in the program?

Put the beatmarker on the grid BEFORE the beat start to go down.
(to the last grid marker where beat still is 128)

Thanks for your input, Pete :)
JVB, if you are still having difficulties with this perhaps you can attach the file you are attempting to beat grid to this thread and I will beat grid it for you as an example.

I had to put quite a few grid markers in this one, the song appears to start out around 127BPM and the slowly moves its way down to 110BPM.
These kinds of songs can always be a bit tricky to beat grid but hopefully that'll give you an idea of how to do it with other songs. Remember if you were to drag this file onto the analyze files button you would lose the beat grid as it would be reset.

No worries, with songs like that, I still find them a bit difficult myself :)
