RIP
I just played one of their songs. My program director is texting me now to do a tribute mix. It seems as if we are always doing tribute mixes for great artists. It's sad that they have to go the way that they did but it's great that they left us with great memories and music.
yep

Sad day. I loved them through out all of their stages. Wild progression from Brass monkey to their later stuff. Was cool to see them impact areas of their life they were passionate about.

This one hits hard.
Hiphop wouldn't be where it is today without him.

Its hard to look at his later pics. Cancer or the treatment made him look like he was easily in his 60's. Hopefully he was around his family as he ended his fight with this disease. RIP.

One of the main reasons why I fell in love with Hip-Hop. They were and are one of the most consistent Hip-Hop groups of all time. RIP MCA.

RIP MCA...
Worked alongside them Spring Break Daytona right when "Fight for your right" was hitting big. They were pretty much A-Holes, acting like the video portrayed them to be. Despite that, their talent was obvious, IMO, even more so from Paul's Boutique onward. MCA even said himself that he was embarrassed with their early behavior and content, glamorizing drugs, etc... Not only did I admire the music they made, but also how they matured both musically & personally - something I think a lot of rappers of today will never do.

RIP MCA! Another Hip Hop ICON departs. His legacy will never be forgotten, The Beastie Boys were true pioneers in Hip Hop, breaking the stereotypes of what rappers were supposed to be. They did it THEIR WAY!
