I kind of noticed the same thing to during the Beta of SV...I never tried to pause the video I just noticed it when I was playing them, it looks like SV is adding more FPS (frames per second) than VSL...I stick with VSL for now until SV has an update...I'm going to try this when I get home and see if the same thing happens with the video stopped.

What are the exact specs of your Mac?

i to have the same problem, new i7 imac looks like an effect is loaded,but none, seems to be intermittent.

Yup. Exactly that.
Was playing Thursday night and suddenly an effect appeared on deck one. Everything that I loaded onto it was affected but deck 2 was fine!

About an hour later it went and was fine for the rest of the night?!

I can't play out with this at the moment as the effect seems to be a random one and I can't guarantee it's going to go again!

Back to VSL for now :( shame it's a long weekend in NZ too!

figured it out, i turned off the dj-fx pluginunder setup and it went away, seems that when the dj fx plug in is enabled, it distorts the video.
FYI

If you turn the djfx off and on again, does it clear the effect, until the next time it appears, or does it come straight back as soon as you re enable djfx?

I use djfx a lot in my sets!

BTW, nice work in finding the workaround djfever!!

Too many bugs in this release, I would stick with Video-SL for now if you guys are playing out

Yeah you've mentioned that before in other threads.

No offence, but for me, the only game stopper is the stuck video effect were discussing here, and if I can eliminate it by disabling the djfx should I get the bug appear, then the benefits outweigh the risk for me.

I've had no issues with crashing or hanging, or any kind of file issues, and I am getting some very positive feedback from my clients with regards to the new image and text effects being on the mix rather than the deck.

We know you don't like it, but i'll struggle on I think.

Played with DJFX disabled last night, no issues with the mystery stuck effect. Hope 1.1 is in the pipeline ;)

It sounds like there an effect being applied to the video.

When you DJFX enabled in the plugins tab, you say this appears, and when you disabled DJFX it goes away.

Do you have any DJ FX actually on in FX panel?

In the setup of Serato Video, under the effects tab, do you have "enable audio effects" enabled or disabled?

Audio effects are disabled, and I've toggled this on and off just to make sure.

I do use djfx but never leave any effects on. Just use an effect for a mix, then straight off.

The locked video effect does not come and go when I turn on the djfx effect channel, only if I disable the plugin entirely.

It sounds like Raymix has a different issue, mine and DJFever's is definitely an actual video Effect that has got stuck onto the output, see my YouTube vid on my post near the top.

Is it possible you guys had video effects applied to these in your previous version of Scratch Live 2.3.3 with Video-SL and for some reason they are no longer showing that they are applied in Scratch Live 2.4.1 with Serato Video?

I never apply video effects that I can remember.

When it appears, the effect affects every track.

hard to get a good video where you can see whats going on... but narrowed it down a bit more, you can leave the dj-fx enabled. the video ony corruputs when have the deck selected inside the djfx. ie if uou click deck 2 in the dj fx tab, you get the disortion on that deck.

and it is with every video.

Using DJFever's method, i can consistently reproduce this issue on all versions.

Fire up SSL
Click on DJFX tab
Click on SV tab
Load a vid to left channel
Click on DJFX tab and make sure deck 1 is on the left effect.
Play the video
With the Superknob view, turn ON any audio effect.
Video gets mashed!
Happens if "Enable Audio Effects" is on or off in SV setup.

Ok I think I have managed to recreate this.

Many effects are never really "dry" even if the wet/dry knob is set to the hard left (maximum dry if you will).

Although this behavior did exist in Scratch Live 2.3.3 as well. What was the last version you guys saw this working correctly? Perhaps we are still talking about something different.

Can I just get super clarity, to ask EXACTLY what DJ FX you have selected for the super knob? The result will be different depending on what effect you select, but I can see the effect does engage to some extent even though the knob is set to dry/hard left.

The fact that the DJ FX actually still effects the videos even though "enable audio effects" is disabled in the Video setup, is a entirely separate bug. But definitely a bug, and a pretty annoying one too!

my super knob is set to HPF. and 2.3.3 was fine with video sl. did not appear till serato video, that i noticed anyways.

Ahhh ok yep, I can certainly confirm this, and you are correct. 2.3.3 did NOT have this issue.

This issue, and the issue where it applies the audio FX regardless of whether they are enabled or not has been logged in our system so hopefully will be looked into as soon as possible to be fixed in a future release of our software.

Unfortunately I am unable to say exactly when this will happen, but hopefully soon :)
