Hey guys,

Since i disconnected my twitch the last time, it wont connect anymore.
When i plug the usb cable, nothing happens. No lights, nothing.

I tried to delete the Twitch from the Midi settings in order to make it appear again, but nothing happens.

Oh and when i plug the twitch before turning on the macbook... the macbook itself wont boot...
So i think there is a problem with the usb drivers....

The same problem happenned to me a couple of weeks ago then, but with no reason, it started working again...

But now it seems it will not...

Please help, i want to mix ;)

Hey Creek n River,

So when you tried to delete the MIDI icon in the AUDIO/MIDI Window did it reinstall at all? Are you getting no response at all?
Have you tried different USB Cables and USB Ports?

Let mew know?

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the feedback.

I tried with several USB Cables... And it worked once with a new one ! But only once... The twitch stopped working the next day, and i could not get any more response... juste like with the other cables.
(all the usb cable i used are still working with other devices nevertheless)

But now i am starting to run out of usb cables...
And yes, when i delete the midi icon, it does not reinstall at all.

So i had "A NEW HOPE" but but now the bug "Strikes back"

Hey Creek n River,

Does sound like it could be a power or driver issue. Do you have your Mac plugged into power when trying to use it? Was there any factors in play when it worked, like something different you may have done?
Have you updated your USB Drivers?

Let me know.

I literally had this exact same issue... I tried a friend's Twitch on my system, and it worked fine, but not mine... I tried different cables, and I hadn't updated any drivers or anything from the time it worked to the time it stop functioning (within the same day)

I ended up returning the (under warranty) unit to the Guitar Center I brought it from, and got a new unit, which worked fine.

I know it's not much of a solution, but that was my experience.

Upgrade to Lion (Mac OS X 10.7.3) it's more stable with Itch 2.0, 2.1, and 2.2

That's debatable.

Seems like the Twitch tends to die.
Mine is not being recognized by my mid-2010 MacBook Pro too :(

ITCH 2.2.0 (22022)
OS X 10.7.3

hope i can do something about it, i've bought it from UK dealer and i live in Russia, so i don't think they will change mine under warranty or something(

It works again. Maybe it was only coincidence but I did this:

- Connect Twitch to Mac: Sometimes the touchstrip lights on but sometimes not even that happenend.
- Connect Twitch to Windows PC (in my case Windows 7). Same issue. The hardware is not being recognized (ITCH 2.0.1 installed on my PC)
- Download latest USB drivers from novationmusic.com
- Twitch runs as expected now
- Disconnect from Windows PC and plug into Mac again: Everything is OK

I hope this helps. It solved my issue.

Serkan : I did the thing you said, and... it worked ! You're some kind of genius ! Thank you !

Twitch even doesn't prevent the macbook from booting.

I hope it will last !

Yeah !

Hey Guys,

Wow very interesting! We keep that in mind for future users. Updating drivers was my thought too. Glad you both got this sorted. Enjoy!

Yes, it's a good news !

The thing is i couldn't update the drivers through my mac. It didn't do anything. But it worked well with windows. Cant say why ^^

It's so strange, i'll follow that up and see if it's a driver issue. Thanks, i'll close this thread for now but feel free to re-open if you need any more support.
