My Twitch is not recognized by Itch: "Hardware Disconnected"

When I plug my Twitch in, it does not light up. Itch reads "Hardware Disconnected." I have tried downloading new driver software and the newest version of Itch; still no luck. My computer recognizes the Twitch as an "unknown device." The Twitch is turned on, I have it plugged in, and I bought it brand new. Apparently, I'm not the only one with this problem. I've searched for Twitch troubleshooting, and many people have encountered the same issues. Very frustrating. Please help.

When I plugged my Twitch in the first time, my computer "failed to install the driver software."

When I go to the control panel, I find my Twitch (unknown device) under the device manager. I selected it and clicked "update driver," and browsed for the driver software in my programs. When I found the driver folder, it said that the driver software could not be found.

Downloading driver software doesn't seem to help either.

Hey Evers P,

Try deleting that Device in your Device manager, then re-connect the Twitch and it should prompt you that it will reinstall driver. Then re-open ITCH and see if it appears, let me know if that works?

It still says hardware disconnected when I open Itch. My computer fails to install the driver software.

The problem is definitely the drivers, I just don't now how to fix it.

Have you tried reinstalling ITCH 2.1 with the Twitch connected.?

Yes. I've downloaded it and when it tells me to plug in the twitch my computer says that the driver software failed to install?

Are you logged in as a Administrator on your P.C?

What is the error message you are getting? Could i get a screen shot

Yes. I also own a launchpad and an apc 20 and I haven't run into these problems.

Try disconnecting the APC 20 and Launchpad, and any other devices. Then uninstall Twitch device in Device manager. Then reinstall ITCH with Twtich connected.

We just need to troubleshoot to we get it. There will be something interfering with the driver install or conflicting.

I haven't had the apc20 or the launchpad plugged in ... When I first bought the Twitch, I plugged it in and it worked great. I'm just trying to figure out why it isn't working now. I installed live twitch translator, maybe that has something to do with it?

I have also tried getting the twitch to work with another computer- no luck. the lights won't turn on, the driver software won't install.

Using winows explorer, I went to the driver folder I downloaded. The nvnsetuputil application wasn't working.

I appreciate your input... I've followed all of your advice... Is there a chance something is wrong with the Twitch itself? Could the live twitch translator have screwed with it? If can't get it working I might return it.

I try to browse my computer for driver software, and then windows says that the computer couldn't ind the driver software in the folder I downloaded off Novation.

Hi, it turns out I had to return my Twitch. I never could get it to work, and Serato would not respond to my emails or this discussion to help me- they knew it was broken, and it isn't their job to tell me to return it.

When I got another Twitch it works AND I LOVE IT. It is definitely worth the trouble.

Sorry about the late response, we have been overwhelmed with extra support on account of the Serato Video launch, my apologies. Sounds like it worked itself out though. Glad to hear your up and running with a new TWITCH.
