The Sl-4 using 2.3.3 of Scratch Live and the 10.7.3 version of OSX can cause krnl panic if you unplug and replug the USB cord while the program is open. It does not happen in older versions, it does not happen in the new 2.4.0 version.

Aside from that, 10.7.3 has been smooth for many users.

Go into the set-up / display tab and make sure you have your Maximum screen updates set to 60.

Basically is what you are describing a slight jitter / shake in the waveform? Does it effect the audio as well?
Dj Nad 10:26 PM - 26 March, 2012
thx for ur first reply chad ,, its already on 60 like it was always .
it is a slight jitter (shaky) , it dosen't feel like its rolling smoothly like before & it bother the eye , and i'm picky on that matter coz i spend the night lookin at those waves ,
i used to notice this problem before with my friends running serato on a pc ,
i hope this refresh rate will be fixed on ur update ,
Dj Nad 10:26 PM - 26 March, 2012
no it doesnt effect the audio at all

This could be a general MAC waveform issue. I will put this in the area that the Serato software team looks at. Two other people are waiting for a similar answer, i will include a link to this thread in those. The answer might be the same for all or Serato might have some specific questions for each of you. Serato writes the software and are closest to the solution.

I noticed this too DJ Nad from updating to lion from snow leopard so I reformatted my Mac back down to snow leopard and it was still doing it and I went into settings and had my audio catch at 60 and moved it back down to 15 and it helped out.

I am sorry you are experiencing this issue. Unfortunately this is an ongoing problem for us.

The reason why it happens, is basically the fact that the software is using the CPU processor instead of the graphics processor to draw the waveforms.

It is definitely something we are aware of, and do intend to fix, but I couldn't say when exactly, as it would require a good portion of time to rewrite our codebase to change the way this happens.

As for other performance settings I would recommend making sure your computer settings are adjusted as described in this article: serato.com

Ok cool Dj Nad, thanks for your understanding on this matter.

I will close this thread as "bug logged" and I have made an internal thread which will draw attention to this issue, and to other users that have reported it also.

Hopefully our developers can take a look at this issue soon, but as I said, I could not say for sure when this issue will be resolved.
