OK.... Tonight was the first time I took ssl to one of my big weeklys.... I learned a couple key things compared to fs that might seem like common knowledge to some of you, but might help some of you....
1) on the same laptop that Ive used in the same club hundreds of times fs never overheated and ssl consistentely does.... I dont know if this is a windows issue as compared to linux or what, but one of those little $40 laptop coolers solves this problem everytime (so far).... I highly reccomend them.....
2) I learned how awesome relative mode was about halfway through my night tonight..... it got rid of my issues with burnt out spots on the records and made me faster cueing my next song becuase I didnt have to take the time to pick up the needle and put it at the beginning of the record..... I tend to megamix really heavy, so if Id play 30 seconds of one track, I could load the next song and it would just start off where the needle was sitting.....
my laptop did overheat tongiht, and freeze up, but it was my fault because I chose to plug in my powermate instead of my laptop cooler and i saw it coming with glitchy graphics so I was able to drop a record on time and it wasnt horrible.....
Overall, it could have been a bad experience and it turned out great..... anyway, like I said, this might seem like basic info, but I figured Id post it on the off chance someone here is as slow as I am.....

Thanks for the tips.
I honesly never thought of using relative mode that way - good stuff!

my goal with this program has always been to just make it feel as close to vinyl as possible so I never wanted to play with relative mode...... after using it for an hour, I dont know if Ill ever use absolute mode again..... plus, if they really do add the feature of being able to skip to a cue point, its over..... relative mode is my new best friend

Yes in version 1.2 you can skip directly to the cue points by pressing 1-5 for the left deck and 6-0 for the right. These keys will only work in relative or internal mode of course.
