Hey anyone else want lighter records?
I find the records a bit to thick and grippy (Im still using the same one for scratching that I had from the beginning that is lighter and spins better than all the new ones)
Would be great to have a choice of heavy for mixing and lighter for scratching!

Maybe I find coloured records tend to be heavier than black ones.
This is definitely true the plastic used in coloured vinyl is much softer than black so wears quicker. I keep my coloured vinyl only for special occasions.

Hadn't played on my colored records for a while until tonight. They're definitely heavier than the black, and thicker too. I almost feel like i lose grip on them, but I may be reaching. Black is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better IMO.

Thanks fellas.
Its a bit hit and miss with the vinyl.
Just did a show at the sydney opera house and the massive lights melted/warped my favourite (2 year old slippery sucker!)
Had a spare 5 in a sleeve I carry with 2 spare slipmats and only 1 of them was light enough out of the 5 records!
I guess a bit more consistency with thickness is probably a better way of puttin it! (light ones though!! : ))
