In the settings window all but one of the settings is greyed out, this includes the crossfader curve which is fixed with a dip in the middle.
The N4 only has a hardware switch for normal or scratch.
How can I set the curve to have both channels at maximum when the crossfader is in the centre position?

Hi ScottyL,
Since the N4 is an analogue mixer there is only 2 options for your crossfader curve. The software curve is for controllers which employ software mixing and is therefore grayed out when using that particular piece of hardware. For what you want, i'd recommend setting the crossfader to scratch.
I think it was a bit of an oversight to be honest to keep this option slightly visible in the software. I'll let the team know though. Thanks for the heads up!
Cheers,
Sam.

Hi ScottyL,
As the N4 has the option to change the crossfader contour on the hardware itself, the option to adjust it within the software is unavailable.
The reason why the software adjustment is available at all is for other controllers that do not have a contour adjustment.

The N4 only has a very basic crossfader adjustment, and your normal setting is dipped. No use at all for conventional mixing and as I'm not a scratch DJ this is no help.
Virtual DJ and the industry leading Traktor have a conventional setting, both tracks centre max output, for the N4's normal setting.
I guess unless you review your default setting I'll be un-installing Serato and going for Traktor.
Thank you for your help.

Sorry to hear the adjustment doesn't work for you ScottyL.
I will set this thread as a feature request, so hopefully its functionality may be reviewed at some stage in the future.
