Something different than my norm. I have a new residency in a lounge, and I get to play music I like. Most of my gigs are uptempo house and top40, so this gives me a chance to play stuff I don't normally play out. As such, my scratching at low bpm is much weaker than at 128, but it's a good chance to practice too since it's a really laidback gig. I end up giving out more business cards at this gig than anywhere else I play, it's a 30 something crowd so people are into this sort of music. Also lots of originals that were sampled for hiphop.

Nah, I never anything from them DJ-ing wise (not even a rejection letter, sorta wondering if they ever got my application...)

I'm in a student org that actually puts together a team to dance every year though. I was gonna pop in around 3-6 AM with McDonalds for our team (lol)

But maybe I'll try to stick it out to the end if you guys are spinning.

Good shit, I wish I could find a spot where I could DJ this type of music. Its good to switch it up and be versatile.

Love it. Great gig to have! I actually used a few of the same tracks on a 45s only mix I made recently. Hope you keep that gig & share the recordings!

This is why I love small gigs... like at bars and restaurants turned "clubs" at night. You can get away with a lot of this stuff early in the night. nm

With all the edits and remixes I do these days, I can't see spending the time it would take to edit and render all that video too...just doesn't seem worth the time for me.

Haha, yeah, it used to be Bank Heist...completely different owners now though. These guys actually know what they are doing. Same people who own the knitting factory in hollywood.
