Searching creates dropouts

Thank you Martin! Tried it out tonight Live with no problems except when I search for a song the screen freezes (spinning wheel) after about 5 characters for a few seconds but no audio/video drop out. Is there any setting that could fix this? It might be my macbook pro which is about 4 years old now but overall I'm very happy and would recommend 2.3.3 so far. Also is there anyway of installing an older version if you currently running the newest version? And what does it mean older versions will not be able to read the new metadata after jumping to 2.3.3?
Thank you!

Hi deckstar,

Are you using an external drive to store your music files?
Can you please provide me with your complete computer specs?serato.com

Yes you are able to have multiple versions of Scratch Live installed. Simply rename the application file to "Scratch Live 2.3.3" or whatever version it is, then run the installer for the other version you wish to have.

In 2.3.3 a new way of handling mp4 and m4a files was implemented. This means that if you analyzed a file in 2.3.3, but then jumped back to 2.3.1 you may have to re-analyze this particular file. It should not affect ALL your files.

New Issue, After upgrading to 2.4.1 occasionally the track will jump forward a little bit while playing.

I'm using:
a macbook pro: os 10.6.8
a 500gig non powered lacie rugged external hard drive
a western digital studio (2) terabyte powered hard drive
(2) pioneer cdj2000 in hid mode using the usb connections to a non powered hub
video sl

I have no corrupt files and did my database v2 files again.

Any Thoughts??

If you disconnect both your external drives, and just test for a while using files on your internal drive, is there any improvement?

What about testing that same situation with just ONE cdj2000 connected?

Do you have any other USB devices connected?
