I currently have 768mb of ram and when I change songs on serato, it studders (the screen, not the sound), if I add more ram, like a total of a gig or so, would it solve the problem?

2nd, after building overviews on some songs, when I play them on serato, I get like some spots where it sounds digitized, like wierd. But if i play it in itunes or even delete from itunes and re-import it back in and then build overviews, it turns out ok. Is there an explanation for this? Any help is appreciated, thanx!

is it really much of a problem? more ram would not solve it, what is happening is your CPU is not quite able to update the screen as fast as usual, while the new file is being loaded. The graphics are always a lesser priority than audio, as you can understand.

so what would really solve it would be a fast CPU I believe.

Also are the spots that sound wrong always there and always in the same place.

On the screen refresh if you turn down the screen updates to about 40 the screen still looks smooth and you should get less juddering.
