In my mind I was reading it in his voice. That was crazy.
[O/][iii][O/] 7:44 PM - 20 January, 2012
Hope this affectively illustrates to naysayers of the vital importance of artwork and how the brain links visual cues with the sounds they're associated with and one reason why so many Serato users have and continue to advocate the implementation of cover art within the various GUIs of their software.

Try it from more than a few feet away and under a couple seconds compared to graphics.

^^^ or if you suffer from dyslexia.
Audio1 9:09 PM - 20 January, 2012
Some DJ's tag their tracks with dirty pics... I guess memory serves as a visual cue for some. LOL

lol, seriously?
sixxx 9:49 PM - 20 January, 2012
Yeah. I'm thinking if the joke is to read that in a black person's accent.
sixxx 9:49 PM - 20 January, 2012
Though I don't know if I should make it an "educated" one or a ghetto one.

I'm confused. :/
[O/][iii][O/] 9:53 PM - 20 January, 2012
lol, umm, no, it's Morgan Freeman (as noted twice in the photo) who has a distinctive voice. Not black, not white, just distinctive... like, say, James Earl Jones or Patrick Steward or Ben Stein, or...
sixxx 9:54 PM - 20 January, 2012
Who is James Earl Junior?

Or Patrick Steward?

... Well, Ben Stein at least I know. That's the guy with the formula of relativity. Right?
sixxx 9:55 PM - 20 January, 2012
Btw, I saw the name Morgan Freeman on the words but had no idea who that was either.
[O/][iii][O/] 9:55 PM - 20 January, 2012
The point of this exercise was to show how the brain creates associative links between what you see and what you remember something sound, smells, tastes, feels like.

Note: For the record, I have no idea how Morgan Freeman smells, tastes or feels, but I do know what he sounds like.
sixxx 9:57 PM - 20 January, 2012
So, who is Morgan Freeman?
[O/][iii][O/] 9:57 PM - 20 January, 2012
Morgan Freeman = Miss Daisy's driver
James Earl Jones = Darth Vader
Patrick Steward = Captain Pickard, USS Enterprise
Ben Stien = Beuller? Beuller? Beuller?
sixxx 9:57 PM - 20 January, 2012
Freeman... is that a reference to freeing men who were slaves?
sixxx 9:58 PM - 20 January, 2012
Why you gotta confuse me like that? Who is Miss Daisy?

Man. Oh man.
[O/][iii][O/] 9:58 PM - 20 January, 2012
sixxx, just curious, where on the planet do live?
[O/][iii][O/] 9:59 PM - 20 January, 2012
lol, I'm crying over here
sixxx 9:59 PM - 20 January, 2012
Btw, up until now i didn't know James Earl Jones was inside the suite of Darth Vader. That's awesome!

Though I just looked up a picture and he seems kinda chunky to fit in there.

I don't believe JEJ was actually IN the DV suit (no reason to be that I can think of), but he did do all of the voices for DV.

Hell man, I don't know. I've often wondered if the majority of comments on this forum are from those being serious, but apparently (and shockingly) they are. Can't win either way lol.
