Stand Alone Midi Controller

F The 1 Man Disco 11:03 PM - 9 December, 2011
Does anybody know which other midi controller can be use as a stand alone dj set up with your laptop and Serato box besides the Denon DN-MC6000?
I really like the Vestax VCI-400 and the Reloop Jockey 3 Master Edition. Anybody using them?
I would appreciate any help on this matter.
Thank you.

none - the only way you can use the box with a standalone controller is if it has full audio inputs + would support HID for serato. Otherwise, you could probably set it up with serato in internal mode, but you wouldn't be able to use the platters other than maybe mapping them to pitch bend. you're still better off using an itch or intro controller...

Thank you DJ_Soo
I really appreciate your input. I guess, I'm gonna have to wait and see what comes out on the next NAMM. I do have a friend that currently uses the Denon DN-MC6000 with Serato and does video too. Not sure how he mapped them.

There is an XML that works for the MC6000 controlling Serato. If you end up getting this controller I can send it to you. At this point though, you're better off waiting for Namm next month cause I'm sure you'll have more options then.

Thank you DJ Unique. Yes, that's what it is an XML.
I really like the Vestax VCI-400 but don't want to give up the ability to use Serato and the ability to play music videos. I'm sure there will be new products on the NAMM show.
