No clipping meter on dj intro. How do I know if i'm clipping or not? I'm using the Numark Mixdeck.

The Mixdeck is an Analog mixer so if your leds are bumping the red your clipping........plus your ears will never let you down.

That's kind of what I figured. The problem is that my led indicators do not light up at all when Im playing music with dj intro. Is this normal?

I have the same problem, when using other software the leds are bouncing but with Intro I have to crank the volume and the gains way up.........

I also have that problem...2 green LED's on the bottom usually...that's all I can get. I do watch the LED meters on my PA mixer though.

So it would seem this is a software issue and not a hardware issue.......hmm maybe someone from Serato head quarters can look into this?? I believe I made mention of this in one of my first post after using this for the first time......

Yeah...they can add it in with the Jog wheel LED's not working...LOL! Seriously though, I do not have this issue with Traktor Pro2.

Hey guys,

Unfortunately there is no channel metering in the Serato DJ Intro software. With the Mixdeck, you will only see the Master output meter.

In terms of the issue with this not lighting up, does it light up more if you turn up the master gain within the software? You can find this control next to the setup screen button.

Let me know how you go.

Sam.

It does light up but when I use VDJ or Traktor I have to turn the over all volume down. So with VDJ my master is set at 12 o'clock but with Intro it has to be turned up to 3 or 4 o'clock. In terms of loudness that's huge difference....... I can make a video later if you need more of a visual. I'm pretty sure its the software and not the unit.

Will dj intro ever support channel metering? Unless you have your entire song collection normalized, it will be tough to mix without memorizing waveform hight adjustments on the fly.

Hey Bangas,

There are no plans to add channel meters in the software currently. It is something we could do in future but I couldn't say whether or not it will happen in the near future sorry.

I'll log it as a feature request though :)

Cheers,

Sam.
