I have a numark mixdeck that i bought last summer that came with traktor. Since i found out i can use my mixdeck with serato dj intro ,i got real excited because i have wanted serato forever. So i downloaded the download from serato.com for my MACBook Pro but i cannot connect. I turn on my mixdeck and set both channels to "midi usb", and then open serato dj intro, but the no device/hardware pop up comes up and stays on. I try to go to "set up" but it doesn't help. I have tried opening serato dj intro, then turning on mixdeck, but it still does not connect. Is it that my mixdeck came with traktor? How can i fix this?
Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks

Hi Cheps,
as DJ_Instigator said, the Mixdeck does need specific drivers. You can download them from here> www.numark.com
Hope that helps!

Try different usb ports and downloading the DJ Intro software again. There's very little that can go wrong with the mixdeck as apart from the drivers it should be fairly straightforward.
Did you try the 2.0.2 driver after the last 1.6.9 install? There's a troubleshooting workaround where you remove the 2.0.2, install the 1.6.9, then remove that and reinstall 2.0.2 again.

Can you check that the Mixdeck is NOT selected as a soundcard in your sound preferences please. If it is, uncheck it then try again. We had someone that had another dj program installed and it was selecting the Mixdeck as a soundcard, over writing DJ Intro, and we think this may be similar.
Let us know how that goes.

Do you mean to check traktors settings?....i can get traktor to work but cannot get dj intro to work. Is it a problem tht i have traktor installed in my computer, that its not letting dj intro work?

No it shouldn't be a problem. I have Traktor, VDJ, DJ Decks, Serato Scratch Live and Dj Intro all on my computer and everything works fine...

he meant your computer output... are you on a mac or pc?
mac go to system preferences > sound > sound output and make sure the output is system output
PC press the sound icon in the taskbar, open mixer, file, options and also make sure mixdeck audio is NOT selected

correct gcastro.
We did have one person who had traktor selected as a soundcard and it was stopping DJ Intro from working, but it was only one, it wasn't a known/widespread problem.
As the soundinsurgent said, it works fine for him and many others.

intro doesn't have to be running, but if it shows up as a usb device rather than the 'Mixdeck', try reconnecting the device, and try a different usb port, this has been known to fix issues.

so i think i might have one of those exceptions issues... i followed all our your guys advice... i looked into system prefrences>sound and the only option whilw i had my mixdeck connected was, "internal output" as in the computer speakers...the numark audio panel said it was connected.... so i removed all the drivers, and checked again under sound out put and the computer did recognized the mixdeck ....but since there was no drivers installled neither tracktor or dj intro will connect to the mixdeck....so im back to square one... i cant connect ... ive triied installing and unstalling all drivers for the mac..( the 1.6.9 seems to work well with traktor, but the 2.0.1 has some issues, but dj intro does not read any)....any other advice.... is there a place i can go to and have them fix my issue?
