Sold my 57 awhile back for reasons (hopeful) of an update. I've been using my SL-3 with an empath, loving every second of it. Miss the mixer controls of SSL.

I'm hoping for a new Rane mixer, some specialized DJ-FX and SP-6 midi controllers, and some glow in the dark promo vinyl!!!

I just hope there is some good products/announcement at NAMM this year for people who actually use turntables. Last year was kind of disappointing for the vinyl junkies.

Man, I should drive down to Cali like I did in 2009. That was an AWESOME trip. First time being to California and I loved it. I was very hard for me to come back here.

I get sooo hyped for NAMM every year....the only drawback is that gear that is announced or shown at NAMM is usually not going to be available for 6 months...

NAMM doesn't have a public day. I asked many times. Last year they sent out special invites to people who were not members and gave them the chance to purchase a NAMM pass for $50 - $75.

What you can also do is keep an eye open on Twitter or FB because sometimes companies like Pioneer DJ or DJ Magazine will give their followers FREE passes. I've gotten in like that before with Pioneer. Pioneer one time tweeted an application and everyone who turned it in got a FREE pass.

Not strictly true anymore. Manufacturers have learned their lesson and know that if they announce it, it has to be ready within weeks, otherwise people will look elsewhere. The attention span and shelf life is so short these days that they have to maximise the moment.
