Problem 1 (more common)- When pressing cue and play buttons serato does nothing. This normally happens a few hours into a set, may happen once or twice throughout an evening. After repeatidy pressing the buttons eventually it works.
Problem 2 (more recently, less comon)- Audio sounds distorted, possibly discribed as broken or under water. Controller became uncontrollable over serato -controllor buttons did nothing.

Problem started following update from version1.5. I upgraded to version 2.0.1 on a Acer laptop. I have since purchased brand new laptop DELL Inspiron N1550 with an Intel i3 processor, 3GB RAM, 64Bit Windows 7. I was supprised to find that the problem persisted on my new laptop.
When transfering to DELL laptop I analized every track and deleted a handful of corrupt tracks.
Im very confused as to what may be causing this. especially as version 1.5 was so good and completely hiccup free. Im now getting rather annoyed as this software is letting me down when playing out. Any help greatly received.

Hey JohnnyLites,

From checking out your DPC report there are some pretty high DPC times from the following devices and drivers:

ndis.sys
- This is your networking driver. Can you please open device manager > network adaptors. Right click on any that show up here and choose "disable"

netbt.sys
- This is a core Windows service that seems to be giving unusually high DPC times. I would suggest running a virus scan and repairing any bad files and also checking for any spyware or malware that could be affecting this.

tcpip.sys
- This is related to your internet connection. Can you please disconnect any connections you have set up.

Can you please try these things and let me know if you get improved performance at all. If not can you please run a new DCP report and upload that?

Sam.

Hi JohnnyLites.
It sounds like the same problem I have/had here:
serato.com

I'm still not 100% sure if it's fixed because as you say it happends after a few hours.
How about your light on the play button? Same as on mine? (see the link)

Funny enough the play button light doesnt react as usual. think we're looking at a similar problem. Ive had the last week off and have basically cleared all programs i dont class as essential and done loads of disk clean ups etc. Playing a gig tomorro night...... ill post the results!

Ok so i know it was a long time ago this I had this problem but I wanted to let you know the route cause..... WIFI!

If i have the WIFI enabled on my laptop i get problems with ITCH, disable it and its smooth sailing! simples. and i never need the internet whilst im playin so all is good.

Hope this helps.

Hey JohnnyLites,

Good to know, we are aware of the potential risks with using Wifi while using ITCH, we don't recommend it as of the issues it can create. Thanks for the feedback and i'm glad to hear you got that sorted out :)
