I can go to system pref. and i can see the SL2, 3, 4 & 68 control but i dont even see the SL1 .. ?? I even downloaded an earlier version (2.0) but it still doesnt pick up.
BTW It works fine on my Windows 7 PC, same usb and setup.

Maybe you need to install the drivers for the sl1 and that will be on the disc that come with it
I think not 100% the 2.3.0 update only done drivers for the later models not the sl1 ? so if downloaded from the internet the software then it wouldnt have them for the sl1
im sure someone will correct me if im wrong :-)

All the versions should still have the driver for the SL1. This has never been removed.
I believe the SL1 driver is simply corrupt on your computer. Lets try to delete and re install it.
Do this:
Close down Scratch Live
Go to Mac HD/System/Library/Extensions Folder
Delete the SeratoScratchDriver.Kext
Now re-install SCratch Live 2.3.1 and try again
Any luck?

Nvm i found it. I was in the wrong extensions folder.
I found it, deleted it, deleted scratch, then reinstalled scratch and it still is not working. Same problem.

Wierd. Are you sure your computer is running 10.6.8?
What version of Scratch Live do you have installed?
If you install an older version - does it make a difference? Older versions can be found here: serato.com
