I was having this problem with SSL and Itch beta versions. So far it seems the SSL 2.3 release does not have this problem anymore.
However, Itch (20098) is still hanging on shutdown and I'm not using the backup option currently.

Hey DJ Quartz,
Have you tried rebuilding the database V2 yet? Here's the guide on how to do that: serato.com
Let me know if that helps

I had deleted my database file and all my crate files and rebuilt my database from scratch.
SSL 2.3 seems to have no issue shutting down, just Itch 2.0

do you still have ITCH 1.7 installed? Is it the same there?
If you rebuild the database V2 and start ITCH as the first program afterwards - does it still hang while shutting down?
Have you also tried to rebuild your Scratch Live folders yet?
1) Close ITCH
2) You will find one _Serato_ and one _SeratoBackup_ folder in the music folder on your system drive. rename them to '_Serato_old' and '_Serato_Backup_old'.
On your external drive (if you have one) the Serato folder might be called _ScratchLive_ and _ScratchLive_Backup also rename these.
3) Open ITCH and drag a music file from your "external" drive into ITCH and close ITCH again - ITCH has now created new folders on both drives.
4) All your old crates are located in the 'subcrates' folders of the renamed _Serato_ folders. Just copy them into the new ones and replace the existing subcrates folders if you want them back in your library.
does that make a difference?

It always used to hang as well actually, so I had a report in since then.
I don't use an external drive actually, I have two internal drives and one is dedicated to my music were the Serato database and all music files reside.

Hey DJ Quartz,
Sorry for the lack of response - the thread got lost in my open tasks.
Are you still having the issue?
cheers

I'm still having it intermittenly. I found another problem but I haven't reported it yet.
When I shrink the Itch gui and try to maximize the window, it crashes.

Hi DJ Quartz,
I have recently picked this up from and old staff member so apologies for the delay from us here. Are you shutting down ITCH first before disconnecting the hardware or doing anything else?

Hello Matthew,
Yes that is correct, I'm just shutting down the application. I'm not disconnecting any hardware before shutting down.

try downloading ITCH again here>serato.com and reinstalling the software, let me know how that goes.
Also i noticed corrupt files hadn't been mentioned yet (you may have already addressed this though), here are the details of the problems corrupt files can cause, and how to delete them>serato.com
