Itch 2.0 release does not install (win7)

Im trying to install Itch 2.0.0 (20098) Release Win, for my windows 7 PC. I get an error saying...
"Windows cannot access the specified device path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item".

Any idea to why this is happening?

same here.

tried rebooting, running as admin and also running without my V7 plugged in.

Sometime i get this message, sometimes it hangs on the status bar after installing the drivers.

The last beta worked fine, this one won;t play ball no matter what i do.

I'm win7 64-bit btw.

i think the problem is to do with kaspersky, it reads the file as a highly dangerous file. mine works now.

i've got norton and it says the file is safe for me, so it may not be v

I have Windows 7 64 bit too with Kaspersky. Disable it and also Microsoft Essentials. It will install just fine. Kaspersky is blocking some of the objects.

I take my comment back. It was working for a little while and when I started playing witht he smart crates it crashed and hasn't worked since.
