So, Key Lock rocks. I love it and don't know how I got by without it (although, a realtime FFT based algorithm without the "stuttering" problem would be nice ;)
The problem? Pitch adjustment and "speed" adjustment aren't independently adjustable. Half the time I find myself wanting to adjust the pitch at the current BPM to tone-match to a new mix, but there's no way to do that.
So what about implementing the time-domain analog to Key Lock, a second feature that lets the record speed control frequency only (while maintaining the same key/pitch). Then we can toggle between setting the BPM and the pitch variation. You could then decouple the two and have a wicked system for "sliding" and "scratching" across the frequency domain, as well as first pulling the pitch of a song up and then beat matching to the new BPM.
Thoughts?
