Running VSTs through Serato via Ableton?

Not sure were to put this, so I thought I'd post here and go from there.
I know about the bridge with Serato and Ableton. However, can that allow you to run VST plugins/effects in realtime to audio you are mixing on Serato?
Now, I know I can run audio in Ableton, such as samples and loops, and effect them, but my main thing is, I want to be able to be doing a mix, in serato, and take that audio in real time through ableton to give it effects. Not talking about pre-detirmined loops here, im talking about having a standard track in serato playing, but maybe have the audio come out of serato and filter into ableton and run effects there.
Is this possible?
I'm running CDJ2000s and a TTM57 mixer.
Hoping this isnt too confusing, i heard rumor the Rane 68 gives me this potential?

Hey davidvaux,
This is not currently possible. Ableton can only send audio through Scratch Live. Scratch Live cannot send audio back to Ableton to then apply vst effects to the signal.
Hopefully this will be an option in the future.

So to be perfectly clear, is it not possible to use the SL4 with Serato AND as a soundcard for ableton simultaneously? For instance I would like to use 3 channels for Serato, and the 4th channel ins/outs for a send-return with ableton. (send serato audio through flex fx on to ableton fx)

I found a way to get this done. It is definitely not the best way and it only lets you apply VSTs to one channel, but it does work.
First: run a 3.5mm (1/8inch) plug from the 1/8inch headphone output on the TTM57 to the Audio IN on your laptop, Macbook Pro in my case.
Second: Play a track through Serato on the left channel (or right), lower it's volume all the way, and set the headphone cue position to left or right depending on which channel it is.
Thirdly: In Ableton, set your computer's input as an input. Enable In Monitoring...
Fourthly: In Serato, Enable the Bridge and send the Audio from Ableton to play through the channel opposite the channel your are playing your track in. So if your ORIGINAL track is coming out of Deck Left, your VST affected signal path would come out of the Deck Right. Now the SYNC button and have ableton sync to the BPM of Deck Left (or wherever you are playing your track). Turn down the FADER for the original track, and turn the fader up on the Ableton track. Now the original should be routed out of the TTM57 into the laptop's Ableton and then back again through serato being effected by Ableton's VSTs.
If you have set everything up properly, your signal path should look like this:
Serato.Song Playing on Deck A. Headphone out to Laptop in. Ableton back to serato through The Bridge. SYNC BUTTON. The sync button is important because it allows your VSTs to sync to the BPM of the track you hve playing in Serato. No, this is not "autobeatmatch", this is a VST clock setting...
Couple of shitty things about this method:
1) it comes through headphones, so you cannot mix with headphones if you are using this method, which brings me to my next point...
2) make sure you sset the cue to the track you want to output to Ableton's VSTs
3) Only 1 track at a time.
TTM57: Make sure you turn the fader down for the original track and the fader up on the effected track because getting both will sound like crap.
HOPE I COULD HELP :)

You could use the SL4 as both the sound card for SSL and Ableton but you wouldn't be able to send audio from SSL back into ableton to apply effects. That would require you to route the output of the SL4 back into the input on the SL4 to then get the audio back to Ableton.
I would guess your inputs would already be taken up by a turntable or cd deck and the outputs are going to your dj mixer. I suppose you could use a splitter on the output of the SL4 and then send it back into the Aux input on the SL4. From there, choose the Aux input (9/10) for your Ext. IN in Ableton to get the audio back into Ableton, apply the effect, and then send it out of the Aux out of your SL4 into a separate channel on your mixer to hear the applied effect. Haven't tested that but in theory it should work.
