Does anyone know how to convert a DVDs audio track to a wave file?

Kenny Q 3:52 PM - 25 July, 2007
I have some live concert DVDs and I would like to convert its audio track to mp3 or a wav file without playing and recording it.

Is there a program that will let me do this?

Could I somehow do this with Sound Forge 9.0?

rip the DVD to a .VOB.
rename the file to .MPG.
open a VIDEO EDITING TOOL.
isolate the audio.
save it.

Looks like it would be much easier to play the dvd and record the audio.

Thanks,

ripping the dvd is much easier than recording it realtime. not too mention the resulting loss you get from re-recording it. just rip it. it's really not that hard. try "DVDDecrypter" or any of the 100s of other dvd ripper applications.

iTunes?

How can you do this with iTunes?
cappinkirk 5:49 PM - 26 July, 2007
play the dvd in itunes and record it with a tape recorder. then take the recorded tape and record it through the ttm-57 as a line input. there you go, fully analog converted professional sound.
