I'd like it if while using a 4 deck controller, you could hide the C/D decks from the screen and use the controller in a "2 deck mode".

This would be especially useful for using the microphone inputs on C/D for the upcoming NS6, since those microphone waveforms would not be displayed in the first place.

There's a lot of screen real estate being eaten up by those extra two decks for those of us who do not mix with 4 decks. Also the 2 deck layout offers larger waveforms.

ideally, maybe just the mic/line toggle on the rear of the ns6 would be the trigger to hide/show that deck's waveform.

+1 on this. I use all 4 decks on my DX sometimes, but more often I am only using 2 of them and would like to have the extra space.

I need this feature bad. Serato is just plain cumbersome on a 13" Macbook in the view I use with all 4 decks showing. May the powers that be please get this message to someone who can add this feature. After that, my NS6 would be almost perfect. Only other thing I'm wanting is to be able to control sampler with a 2nd controller (Korg Nanopad etc)

I cosign as well, though Serato have commented on this. It is proving more difficult for them than they had initially thought it would.......so rest assured, they're working on it!
